Veterans Appreciation Day, March 3, 2012
Norwell American Legion, along with Norwell Men’s Club, co-sponsored Veterans Appreciation Day from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 3 at Norwell’s Cushing Center.
The celebration honored local veterans from the towns of Norwell, Hanover and Scituate. There will also be a swearing-in ceremony for new Legion members. Guest speakers included state Senator Robert Hedlund, R-Weymouth, along with selectmen and other town officials representing the surrounding towns.
